Jon is also a talented writer and contributor to national newspapers, most notably penning a cover article for the Guardian’s Weekend Magazine for its Valentine’s Day issue.
A regular on the stand-up circuit, Jon has recently returned from performing to sell out audiences at the 2010 Melbourne Comedy Festival. His first gig was in 2003 where he won his heat of the BBC New Comedy Talent Search. After completing a 60 date UK with Alan Carr in 2006, Jon won ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ at the 2007
Chortle Awards and went on to receive a ‘Best Newcomer’ nomination for his show
Spatula Pad at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
. This was followed in 2008 with a successful Edinburgh run of his second solo show
Dogmatic and a subsequent Edinburgh Comedy Award best show nomination in 2009 for his third Edinburgh show,
This Guy at Night.
Jon will be starring in the second series of Channel 4’s late night topical show
Stand Up For The Week alongside host Kevin Bridges and regulars Andi Osho, Rich Hall and Jack Whitehall. The series starts on Saturday 12
th March at 11.10pm for ten weeks.
